Springboard is the first after school program to be recognized by the Core Knowledge Foundation!
Springboard is proficient in the Core Knowledge Curriculum and has shown its support of partner schools that use this curriculum by becoming a Friend of Core Knowledge as defined by the Core Knowledge Foundation.
Springboard teachers who work in Core Knowledge Partner Schools use the Core Knowledge Sequence to facilitate Guided Homework and Study Instruction and to communicate the needs of their students with the every day teachers who teach them. In both our Core Knowledge School partnerships and our non-Core Knowledge partnerships we agree with the Core Knowledge Foundation that “for the sake of academic excellence, greater fairness, and higher literacy, elementary and middle schools need a solid, specific, shared core curriculum in order to help children establish strong foundations of knowledge, grade by grade.”
With this in mind, Springboard firmly supports the efforts of all of our schools to establish a foundation that promotes the use of content and is grounded in a core curriculum of knowledge at each school. It is our sincerest belief that this framework ensures that our students will succeed and that they will be prepared to be active participants in an increasingly global economy.
