A Typical Day at Springboard

| Planning & Preparation In consultation with your child’s school teachers, our teacher’s monitor outstanding and upcoming work for each child. We meet in a circle to review rules and make connections. Diagnostic assessments are used to plan academic, physical and creative interventions. | Homework Teachers assess how well prepared your child is for the next school day and check homework for accuracy. They provide immediate feedback to ensure that homework is fully understood. When homework is complete, we provide additional instruction to help your child get ahead. | Communication Our teachers have frequent communication with your child’s school teachers to monitor performance and upcoming academic schedules like tests and major assignments. We provide parent reports on diagnostic results and academic progress. |
| Recreational Time Springboard is successful because kids want to attend. Kids need time to relax and an opportunity to get to know the staff and one another. Each day, students spend a portion of their after school day in “The Den” . At each location The Den is a little different, but typically includes the most popular age-appropriate games, guitar hero, giant bean bag chairs, air hockey, ping-pong, chess and more. |  |
| Optional Electives Professional instructors for our mind-expanding electives create a safe and educational setting for exploration, team work and fun! Whether students are playing capture the flag, preparing a hip-hop dance routine, learning musical improvisation techniques or building robots to navigate an obstacle course, your child will have fun and develop new skills. |
